Simple MACD Binary Options Trading method. The binary options trading method based on the MACD-dot. ex4 indicator is a very simple method. The indicator performs all the analysis and shows the signal. All the trader is required to do is to know how to trade the signal. MetaTrader4 Indicators: MACD-dot. ex4 indicator (default setting), MACD_OsMA. ex4 Preferred Time Frame(s): 1 minute, 5 minute, 15 minutes, 1 hour. Recommended Trading Sessions: Any time. Depends on when the indicator signal appears on the chart. Traded assets: Any. Trading Examples (Click the image for full size view) The MACD-dot. ex4 indicator paints a blue dot below a candle for a bullish signal, and a red dot below the candle for a bearish signal.

Confirmation is obtained from the MACD_OsMA indicator in the form of both a cross of the OsMA lines and the cross of the MACD bars from one side of the zero line to the other. A CALL trade is setup when the following occurs: A blue dot appears below the candle. OsMA lines cross in oversold territory. MACD histogram bars cross from negative to positive. Set the expiry time of the trade to close after 4 candles. For this M15 chart example, this corresponds to 1 hour. You can also close the trade early when the trade is in profit for a smaller payout. A PUT trade is setup when the following occurs: A red dot appears above the candle. OsMA lines cross in overbought territory. MACD histogram bars cross from positive to negative. Set the expiry time of the trade to close after 4 candles.

For this M15 chart example, this corresponds to 1 hour. You can also close the trade early when the trade is in profit for a smaller payout. The M15 chart above displays the trade setups for both the Call and Put trades. The following must be emphasized: The dot which signifies trade entry will appear when the entry candle is already open and not as the candle is about to open. The trade is set as soon as the dot appears. The trade must last four candles to give enough room for profitable performance. Expiry is at the closing price of the 4 th candle. About The Trading Indicators. Study the chart properly to see the various points at which the MACD-dot. ex4 indicator presents trade opportunities. The indicator can actually present several opportunities on one asset and in a single day, allowing for good profits.

Momentum in the capital markets is similar to the momentum of riding a bicycle especially down a hill.

The more speed a bicycle rider has, the further they are likely to go. The same goes for market momentum, so the key is figuring out how to measure it, and use that information to generate trading signals. One of the best tools to use to measure momentum is the MACD – Moving Average Convergence Divergence Index. The MACD measures the difference between two moving average, referred to as the spread, and compares the spread to a moving average of the spread. The defaults for the MACD are the 12-day moving average and the 26-day moving average to create the spread. This difference is compared to the 9-day moving average of the spread. For binary options traders interested in intra-day periods, an hourly or 15-minute bar can be used to create signals. Traders should also considered altering the default periods to find a grouping of time periods that suits their trading style. For example, a short term trader could consider a 5-day 9-day spread periods with a 3-day moving average of that spread. The S&P 500 graph shows the last two crossover signals generated by the MACD. The black arrows show a buy signal that was generated in early July which caught the majority of the July rally.

It also displays the sell signal created just after the S&P 500 index topped, which also proved to be profitable. The MACD is a leading indicator, and generally catches the beginning of a trend. The risk is that during a consolidative period, the MACD generates many false signals during a choppy market environment. How to use the MACD Indicator in Binary Options. Technical analysis is an objective approach of appraising financial instruments by analyzing the price data and trading volume generated by the activities in the market. For a technical analyst, the intrinsic value of an asset is of no consequence to him. What he is more concerned about are the patterns that he can discern from his analysis of the data that he have on hand. To help the technical analysts with his task, he has at his disposal charts and various technical indicators. In this article, we are going to explore how to use the MACD Indicator can be used for trading binary options. The MACD indicator is a momentum indicator that illustrates the relationship between two moving averages. It can be used to interpret the following situations: MACD Indicator Based Trading method. This method is good for the normal CallPut binary options as well as the TouchNo Touch options. The objective of the MACD indicator based trading method is to establish at what point in time an asset’s trend changes. Trading Conditions for the method.

In order for the method to work, the following trading conditions must be satisfied: The asset must be trending There is a mild pullback by the asset to a temporary resistance or support level A 50 period EMA (Red Line) as the short term moving average indicator. This EMA will act as the signal indicator. A 110 period EMA (Blue Line) as the long term indicator. This indicator will double as the support and resistance level. A MACD histogram to indicate changes in the trend. To obtain the appropriate signals, look for indication in the MACD histogram for changes in the trend. At the same time, ensure that the asset’s prices are bouncing off the EMAs in the same direction of the trend. Place a Call trade if the: 50 period EMA (Red) is above the 110 period EMA (Blue) Asset’s prices are bouncing off the 50 period EMA MACD is showing a change in the trend. 50 period EMA (Red) is below the 110 period EMA (Blue) Asset’s prices are pulling back from the 50 period EMA MACD is showing a change in the trend. As for the expiry time for the trades, this is dependent on the chart’s time frame.

Normally, the expiry time for the trade should be set 4 candlesticks apart. For example, if the chart that you are using is a 30 minutes chart, set the expiry time to at least 2 hours. As a precaution, do not trade more than 5% of your total investment capital. So if the minimum trade amount is $5, than you must have at least $100 in your trading account. Binary Options method Based on 2 indicators: MACD and Bollinger Bands. Today I would like to introduce to you one very simple, yet efficient method for Binary Options. It is based on MACD trading indicator and we will filter out false signals with another indicator called Bollinger Bands (in some sources you will see it called BB). To begin with, let me first give you a short explanation of how each trading indicator works and why we will be using it. MACD trading indicator. MACD stands for Moving Average Convergence Divergence. Most probably 99% of you will not even know what that means and that’s ok =) In simple words, MACD indicator helps us find points on the trading graph, where trend reverses. Basically, that’s all we need when we trade binary options. Nevertheless, you have to keep in mind that the smaller the time-frame you are trading with, the more you will see false signals. Ideal time-frame for MACD binary options trading is day-graphs. In order to avoid buying wrong binary option, we will filter MACD trading signals with another indicator – Bollinger Bands.

In the end of 20th century, John Bollinger has introduced to the world Bollinger Bands trading indicator, which helps traders to understand whether the market is oversold or overbought. For those of you who are not familiar with these terms, I can explain in simple words: with this indicator we can see when offers to buy certain asset have overgrew the expected amount and, thus, possible reverse of the trend is expected. Or vice versa, it shows us when the selling of the asset is hitting its peak and the upper trend is soon to come to the action. Trading method: MACD + Bollinger Bands. By using these two trading indicators together we can trade options with the shorter time frames and yet keep high percentage of successful trades (in average this method will bring you a little over 80% of successful deals ). On the above image you see a graph with overlay of Bollinger Bands on it (greenish cloud) and below the graph you can see the MACD indicator (I used standard settings: 12, 26, 9). You should buy binary option when the blue MACD line is crossing orange (signal line). If MACD line crossed the signal line from the top, you should expect the price to drop and thus you should buy PUT option . If MACD blue line crossed orange signal line from the bottom, buy CALL option as the price will grow. You should also check the situation with Bollinger Bands. The closer the price to the Bollinger Band the shorter the trend will be. For example, when the was the first crossing of lines, the price was very close to the border of the Bollinger Bands and thus we can estimate that the trend will be short. Taking into consideration that we are trading on H1 graph (each candle is 1 hour), I would open 1 hour option. In all other cases we can open binary options with even longer expiration time. Please note that out of 6 trades, we had 5 trades in-the-money (marked with green oval). You can see from this quick example that the profitability of this binary options method is 83%+ As you can see it is very simple yet effective binary options method.

It fits not only advanced traders, but as well the beginning traders. To try it out you just need to open a trading account with one of the brokers of your choice. My personal recommendation would be FinMax as they have the most convenient expiration times that fit nicely this method. Good Luck! Leave a comment. Binary Options TOP Brokers. Live Proof of Results (VIDEO) How the Binary Options Indicator Works: The idea behind this method was to develop an indicator that uses a moving average as signal and a momentum indicator to profit from short term reversals. Whenever we have a short term reversal to the upside and bullish momentum is building you will get a BUY signal. When you hear the sound alert and see the green arrow you should buy a call option for the asset you are analyzing.* Whenever you have a short term reversal to the upside and bearish momentum is building you will get a SELL signal. Whenever you hear the sound alert and see the red arrow you should buy a put option for the asset you are analyzing.* Here we have the method working on the 1 hour charts with end of day expiration options.

Here we have the method working on the 15 minute charts with an hourly to 2 hours expiration options. And finally we have a 1 minute chart with a 5 minute expiration options. *Always remember to choose the recommended expiration time according to the time frame you are analyzing price action on. How does the indicator find successful trading opportunities? This indicator is based on a method that uses short term reversals for trading opportunities and momentum building to validate the signals. As you can see from the examples above, this indicator will signal tops and bottoms to trade mean reversals as well as simple correction in the trend so you can actually trade with the direction of the market too. It´s a very professional approach to trading because this system avoid contrarian signals in trending markets this means that you will not get a buy signal unless a really deep correction is detected or we have finished with the move and are starting a new wave to the opposite side. Momentum is really important for BO traders because unlike a normal forex position, in BO we need fast direction in the markets because of the expiration of our options. This is why the indicator will also not validate any signal without momentum present. What is the win – loss ratio of the indicator? This method has an 83.5% winrate, this means that for every 10 trades you place you will lose 1.65 of them. This means that the real winloss ratio of this method is 6:1 or 600% if applied correctly and only during high volume hours.* What is the expected ROI of the indicator? The expected ROI of the indicator depends on the payout percentage of your broker. With a 6:1 win-loss ratio this indicator has an accuracy of 83.5%: if we take an 81% return on every winning trade from your broker we can expect an ROI of 67.64%* This measn that for every $100 risked with this indicator´s signals you will generate a profit of $167.64 ($67.64 net).

*This results are a combination the indicator itself and trading during high volume hours (7:00 GMT to 17:00 GMT) Which assets does it work on? Because this indicator is based on a purely technical system it can be traded on any financial asset available. We recommend trading the major currency pairs, gold, crude oil and high volume stocks (BABA, AAPL, IBM, TWTR, FB, YHOO, MSFT, etc…) We do believe that if you are trying to trade stocks you should wait at least 30 minutes after the opening bell to allow some volume in the markets. Which time frames does it work on? This indicator works in any time frame available on your MT4 platform. However we recommend the following time frames and expiration times to increase your win rate: Scalping (5 minute expiration options) off the 1 minute charts Short term trading (1 to 2 hour expiration options) off the 15 minute charts Day trading (end of day expiration options) off the 1 hour charts Swing trading (end of week expiration options) off the 4 hour charts. How to Install the Indicator: Download the indicator and open your downloads folder. You also need to open your MT4 folder. Once the indicator is downloaded go to the indicator folder on your MT4 folder located at MT4MQL4Indicators. After that just drag and drop the MACDSignaler from the download folder to the mt4 indicator folder. That´s it! Just open your MT4 platform and go to the indicator tab, then click on custom and find the MACDSignaler to use it on any chart. Download our Binary Options Indicator with an 83% Win-Rate Now! Best MACD Entries method – YES WE CAN! MACD is one of my favorite indicators for trading binary options. It can be used in a variety of ways to determine trend, reversals and trigger trading signals. It can also be used in any time frame, making it a very useful tool for trading long term monthly binary options all the way down through the list of expiry’s to 60 seconds. This article is one I found discussing the best MACD Entries, lets take a look. One last thing, this article is a great jumping off point for those using MACD or any kind of oscillator. There are links at the bottom taking you to other relevant articles that will help enhance the success of this method. “The Best Of MACD Entries” – What am I Talking About? This is an article written by James Ayetemimowa and posted Forex Strategies Revealed. It is a simple method for short term traders and utilizes MACD in a way that I can fully approve. Some of the good points about this method is that it is trend following, uses more than one indicator and is incredibly useful for binary options trading. Not only that, because of the way MACD works and its applicability to multiple time frames this techniques can be used in longer time frames.

What Is “The Best Of MACD Entries” This would be a hard question for me to answer since there are so many ways to use MACD to generate good signals. For James it was not so tough, he has been able to quantify neatly just what he believes is the best entry signal. James uses the 5 min charts, two moving averages and two MACD’s. For the charts I suggest candles because that’s the best way in my opinion. The two moving averages specified are 50 bar simple moving average and 100 bar simple moving average. The two MACD’s are both standard 12269 but one is histogram and the other is oscillator style. Together these indicators join to create signals with movements that last anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours. How James’ “Best Of MACD Entries” Works. The set up is pretty simple and since it is on the 5 minute charts signals come pretty regularly. The two moving averages are used to determine trend, trade type and as part of the signal. Trend is determined by the positions of the two SMA’s. When the short term 50 bar SMA is above the long term 100 bar SMA the trend is bullish. When the short term SMA is below the long term SMA the trend is bearish.

With that in mind traders are instructed to only trade according to this trend. Calls when it is bullish, puts when it is bearish. A signal is generated when MACD is overbought or oversold and makes a crossover at the same time that prices have retreated past the SMA’s. What this means is in a downtrend you will wait for prices to correct above the moving averages. When that happens a signal will be generated when the MACD oscillator is in the overbought side and makes a bearish crossover. This crossover and signal can be predicted with the MACD histogram. If you look in the example provided the MACD histogram is making a nice divergence and foreshadowing the lower high and subsequent buy signal generated by this system. 50 bar moving average above 100 bar MACD Oscillator Is Oversold MACD Histogram Shows Bullish Crossover. 50 bar moving average below the 100 bar moving average MACD Oscillator Is Overbought MACD Histogram Shows Bearish Crossovers. Expiry – In this example 5 minute cadlestick charts are being used and targeting a 20 to 30 minute expiry. This equates to 4 or 5 candles so can be applied to any time frame. For example Daily charts will be 4 days, one week or end of week expiry, 3O minutes charts would be 2 – 3 hours expiry.

Why This System Does Not Suck. Where to begin…. This system does not suck because it is an outstanding example and application of one of my favorite indicators. I won’t be shy in saying that I put a lot of stock in the ol’ 12269. This method not only uses my favorite indicators but also incorporates many of the features of a good method we here at BOTS have come to love. This method, as laid out, does not incorporate multiple time frame analysis but I think it would only benefit from it. What it does have is a combination of well worn, trusted and often over looked indicators that incorporate trend and momentum to generate handy signals for traders of short duration binary options like dailies, hourlies or shorter. Why This method Sucks. This method sucks because Ididn’t write it and I can’t take credit for it. My hat’s off to you sir James Ayetemimowa and your outstanding MACD system. My Last Words on the Best Of MACD Entries. I don’t know if this is the best MACD entry or not but I can say that is a damned good one.

I recommend this method to newbies, oldies, experienced, inexperienced, forex, commodity, stock, index and any other kind of binary options traders there are. I don’t know how else to say but that way. I, and we here, don’t just hand out praise. There are a lot of things that totally suck in the binary options world but this is not one of them. Take hold of this method, love it, nurture it and I think in the end you will be net positive. Further Reading On MACD And Oscillators. Best MACD Entries: This looks promising for forex, but how do you use it for Binary. What is the expiry timeframe? THIS method WAS IN FMEMPIRE WEBSITE EXACTLY THESAME. I am very thankfull to the posts of pros but in all posts they never say wich is the best time frame expiry :( …Keep up the good work.

20 minutes works for me. I came upon this website by chance and absolutely love it! I appreciate your candid , well-balanced comments and clearly written education articles. Thank you! The “Best MACD” method is the best method I have found. It is simple and very reliable. Just be patient and let the MACD lines cross before making your trade. Don’t anticipate the cross! do you think it is possible to use an expert advisor in mt4mt5 for this method ? If yes, i can build an advisor to trade with binary options automaticly, or is this to risky ? weird, I don’t see so many signals on 5mn TF and 1mn TF or many times it happens when trend is finished and goes reversal. i thank God i found this, took 10 trades, won 8, MACD is amazing only if u are patient. hi kazeem, can you give me examples, what TF do you use and which pairs? it’s really weird I never have such graph as the one in this example. It would be nice, if you put the custom MACD indicator file for MT4 download here as well. Thanks for the great article, I am a newbie and willing to test this method, in the article it says,”The two MACD’s are both standard 12269 but one is histogram and the other is oscillator style”, I added the MACD hisogram, but having a problem with the oscillator style, can someone help?

I can’t wait to try out this method, I read it over and over and didn’t understand how you find signals. Then I looked at the chart deeply and I now realise what Overbought and sold is. Its when the crossover happens above and below the histogram right? It’s funny that this is a method that is well known. I came across this method 6 months ago when I was beginning to start trading forex. 810 times it worked for me, but only on long term trading (30min to 1hr expiry times). I have to admit that this is one of the best things that happened to me. It’s not that complex and simple to understand. While 5 min trades are excellent, I find them too volatile. I myself prefer trading long term trades since the small rises and falls which I call “noise” are dissipated. This helps to have more assurance when making the trades. This is one of the reasons why i’m having more success with this method than if I was to use it for short term trades.

But that’s just my trading methods. If you trade short term (5min, 2min or 1min) this method might work for you. But from my experience, it’s better to go long term. Otherwise, I recommend this method to all those that want to supplement their trading decisions. Thank you for the method but please, please…tell us also for how long to enter a position. You could enter for 5 minutes, 10, 15, 20 30, one hour, one day, etc. This make a huge difference in binary options. All the strategies should give a hint on this aspect. Thank you. This method looks like awesome, But What time frames or expiry we use, please anyone suggest me.. I’ve been using this method with a 15 minutes expiry and it has been working wonders for me lately (taking about 8-10 trades a day with a 70-80% winrate for about a month). Will test it tomorow so if the chart is 5min then the expiry should be 30min or 1 hour so 6 candles for 30min and 12candles for 1 hour. I can’t get the same macd’s for my mt4 platform. Can anyone tell me how to get them? Help would be really appreciated.

Thanks Russ. found this and was able to download indicator en. tradimo. comlearnmetatrader-4set-up-macd-in-mt4 Hope this helps others Russ. I have just began using this method. I have added Bollinger Bands (period 100) I feel this is a nice touch because it has helped me weed out some of the false signals from noise in my testing trials. For example, the perfect signal for a put was on my screen MACD crossed bearish MA fast was Bearish my bollinger bands where narrow so i did not place a put. this was a good call because within the next 3 hours minutes the market remained relatively flat with just up down noise and I would not have won my bet. Sorry Im missing something I have the MACD on my charting but the 2 moving lines how to i set them up. If i try to test this method on MT4, i only can select the SMA’s and MACD histogram, but the oscillator style i can’t select or see. Any help with this please? The only problem I have with this method is using the Simple Moving Average(SMA) lines to determine trend direction - this does not appear to work well.

My charting program (not MT4) does not have specifically SMA, but it does allow for adding Moving Average lines, which would seem to be the same thing. I have tried modifying the period parameter, but the position of the lines still does not really indicate trend well. I will say that the MACD does seem to work fairly well on a 5-minute bar chart. personally i think this method does suck. There are hardly any signals, when there is a crossover and price is way to high or to low, usually by that time the Ma’s have also crossed, leaving you with no signal at all. It’s then even better to just take action at the crosover nomatter what the ma’s say. can i use this method in futures? and where can i find the downloads for ninja ? please someone advice me . thank you very much. Is there no file that one can download in order to get this method. My MACD does look the same a the example given, mine is without the crossover lines.

MACD, Stocahstics and RSI are best suited for 4 hr, Daily, weekly and monthly charts as the market makers and financial institutions, banks, etc use them on these time frames. There may be some success in 1 hr chart if carefully used with other factors in mind. In MT4 i cant get my MACD to look the same ?? Hi, Michael, greetings from Brazil! This method turned me in a self trader. I can’t thank you enough, ny friend. Please allow us 24-72 hours to review your comment. We reserve the right to decide which comment will be published. Trading the MACD with Binary Options. Hello, traders. Welcome to Day Trading Binary Options. Today, we’re going. to teach you, and you’re going to learn of course, how to trade with the. MACD. The MACD stands for moving average convergencedivergence. This is a. trend-following indicator and momentum oscillator that uses two moving. averages to create buy and sell signals. It also uses a histogram to show.

you how momentum is building, either to the upside or to the downside. The. slow moving average is the actual MACD line, which is calculated by. subtracting the 12-day moving average from the 26-day moving average. The. fast moving average is a simple nine-day moving average of the MACD. Now, I know this sounds a little bit complicated, but you need not to pay. attention to the actual calculations of the MACD line and the trigger line, because what you need to understand and what you need to actually learn are. the actual signals that the indicator will give you. Okay? Now, the slow.

moving average is the MACD line, and the fast moving average is the trigger. line. When we actually see the signals that we are talking about, you will. understand why we call the fast moving average the trigger line. Now, the. histogram report says the difference between these two moving averages or. lines and the closer they are together, the less momentum or volatility. there is in the markets. Convergence occurs when the moving averages move towards each other. This. means that there’s less space between the moving averages, which means that. there is less momentum in the market, and you will see it on the histogram. because it will not build up either to the upside or the downside. Now, when divergence occurs, it means that the moving averages are moving away.

from each other. This creates volatility in the markets, and you will see. it reflected on the histogram because you will see it build up. Now, let’s. see the first kind of signals that we are going to look at. They are a. simple moving average crossover signal. Okay? When we’re talking about moving average, of course we’re talking about the. MACD line and the trigger line. Now, a bullish signal occurs when the. trigger line crosses above the MACD line. This is why we call it the. trigger line, because when the faster moving average crosses above the.

slower moving average or the MACD line, we have a trigger to buy calls in. this case because these are bullish signals. Okay? The trigger crosses. above the MACD. We have a signal, but we also need to pay attention to the. histogram because we need momentum building to the upside. If we don’t have. momentum building to the upside, we can be cutting the range or in a very. choppy market. Even though we have a crossover, a trigger above MACD. crossover, our trade or our option might expire out of the money because we. don’t have momentum that moves price to our side.

Now, this is an example of a bullish signal with the moving average. crossover. In this case, we are looking to buy calls because we have a. bullish signal. Now, this is a price action chart, and you can see that. price is caught inside this range. Here are the lows, and here are the. highs. Okay? Now, we have a correction to the downside from these highs, and we are now ranging or chopping here at support, at previous lows. Now. that we know that we are at support, and we see that price is rejecting. support, we go to the MACD.

Okay? You can see that we had momentum to the. downside because the histogram was built into the downside. But once we. reached support, it actually started to build to the upside. Okay? We have. here, the blue line is the trigger line or the fast moving average, and the. orange line is the MACD line or the slow moving average. In this case, we. have a crossover right here. As you can see, the trigger line crosses above. the MACD line, and we have momentum building to the upside. When we clear. the previous highs of the down-move, we have a clear signal to buy calls.

You can see that because we had momentum to the upside, the move is very. strong, which means that our option will expire in the money. Okay? Now, this is the kind of buy signals that you will be looking for with the. trigger line and MACD line crossover. Now, let’s have a look at a bearish. signal. Okay? This is the complete opposite. A bearish signal occurs when.

the trigger or faster MA crosses below the MACD line or slower moving. average. Of course, we have to pay attention to the histogram here too, because if we don’t have momentum to the downside, there’s a high. probability that our option will expire out of the money because we will be. trading in a nonvolatile environment, which means a chop market. Now, this. is an example of a bearish signal with a moving average crossover. Here, we. are looking to buy puts because it is a bearish crossover. When the trigger. crosses below the MACD, it’s a bearish crossover. So we’ll be looking to. buy puts. Now, here’s an example of a trending market. We can see that we. are moving strongly to the upside, and we have reached a turning point, or. what we think can be a turning point.

Right? Now, we have here an area that was tested as resistance and was broken to. the upside and was tested as support right here. When we break with support. and, of course, we have the MACD crossover . . . I’m sorry . . . the moving. average crossover, which means that a trigger line crosses below the MACD. line and we have momentum building to the upside, we have a signal to buy. puts on this instrument. You can see that the continuation of the flush is. massive. So our option will have expired in the money.

It doesn’t matter if. we are looking at a daily chart or a 50-minute chart. These crossover. signals work in any timeframe and with any instrument you want to trade. Of. course, you have to be very patient because you will not trade every. crossover, because you need momentum. Okay? If you don’t have momentum or. if you don’t see that the histogram is building to the upside or to the. downside in either case, you will not take the trade. Okay? Now, let’s have a look at the second kind of signals that we will be. learning today.

These are called the centerline crossover signals. A. bearish signal occurs when the MACD line crosses below the centerline. In. this case, we’ll be only looking for MACD line crossovers with the. centerline. Okay? The centerline is the line that divides the upside from. the downside of the histogram. We will be looking for bearish crossovers, which means that the MACD line crosses below the centerline, or bullish. crossovers when the MACD line crosses above the centerline. The signal has. to be used in confluence with support and resistance lines. Okay? Of. course, if you don’t have momentum, it will be very difficult to take the. trade because there will be no volatility to push price in your favor.

You. have to remember that this is very, very important. Now, here’s an example. of a bearish signal with the MACD crossover. Here, we are looking to buy. puts because we are in a bearish crossover. Here’s an example of a price. action chart. Okay? You can see that we have a clear uptrend from this low.

to these highs that are tested twice. Now, we move to the downside, and we. test this area of support and we rejected it. Okay? We are still in bear. country, even though we have volatility to the downside, but we have no. clear signal to take a trade just yet. When the previous lows are broken right here, and the MACD crosses below. the centerline, and we have momentum building to the downside, we have a. signal to buy puts in this instrument. You can see that we have a clear. reversal of price action when this happens. Now, let’s retrace what we just. learned here. We have a clear option. than price comes back to test these. highs, which are also an area of support.

We reject this area of support. here. When we break below and we have MACD crossover or, should we say, when the MACD line crosses below the centerline, and we have momentum. building to the downside, we have a clear signal to buy puts in this. instrument. You can see that even though we came back and retested the. previous support area as resistance, the flush is imminent, and our option. will expire in the money. Now, let’s have a look at the bullish scenario. A bullish signal occurs.

when the MACD line crosses above the centerline. Okay? The signal has to be. used in confluence with support and resistance lines, just like the bearish. centerline crossover signal. Now, this is an example of a bullish signal. with a MACD crossover. Here, we will be looking to buy calls because we are. in a bullish crossover, which means that the MACD has crossed above the. centerline. You can see that we are in a clear downtrend, here in this. price action chart. We have hit an area that is a low here.

Now, we are. testing the previous highs right here. When we break with the previous. high, and we have a MACD crossover and momentum building to the upside, we. have a clear signal to buy calls. On this reversal, our option will also. have expired in the money. Now, as you can see, you have to be patient because in here, we did not. have a clear signal to buy calls just yet. We had to wait for the actual. MACD crossover. Even though we had momentum building to the upside, we. weren’t able to go further to go above this high on two occasions, until we. broke with a very strong move to the upside when we actually crossed above. the centerline.

These are the last kind of signals that you will learn. These are called divergences. A bullish divergence occurs when the MACD is. making higher lows, and the price action or the price chart is making lower. lows. This we’ll call our divergence, because the instrument shows one. thing, which are higher lows, and the actual price action or the actual. price chart shows another thing. They diverge. Now, this is an example of a bullish divergence. When we are in a bullish.

divergence, we are looking to buy calls at the end of a down-move. Divergences are very strong reversal signals. Remember this. Now, you can. see that here we were in a clear downtrend and actually a very strong down- move, and we hit a low here. Okay? You can see that we’ve started trading. inside a range, and we made a new low here, which is a lower low. Okay? Here, we have met the first rule for a divergence, for a bullish. divergence.

Price is making lower lows. If we go to the MACD, we can. actually see that when price makes this low, the MACD makes this low right. here. When price makes this low, the MACD makes a higher low, which means. that the instrument and price are diverging from the lows that they are. making. This is called a bullish divergence. Okay? At the end of a. downtrend . . . Remember, these are the end of a downtrend. You will be. looking for a lower low on price and a higher low on the MACD. The trigger. happens when we take out the previous highs, and we have momentum building.

to the upside. Here, we even tested the previous highs and support before. moving all the way up here on a very strong reversal and continuation of. So as you can see, bullish divergence is a clear bullish or clear signal to. buy calls on any instrument that you wish to trade. On the other side, we. have bearish divergence. Well, it’s not the opposite, because we are not. looking for the lows in price and on the MACD, but we are looking to buy. puts. So the thing that we are looking here for a bearish divergence is. actually the MACD making lower highs and price making higher highs. Okay. Once again, remember that these signals are reversal signals. So bearish.

divergence will be found at the top of an up-move. So if we are at the top. of an up-move, we will be looking at the highs of the move. Okay? If we are. looking for a bullish divergence, we will be looking at the bottom of the. move. So we’ll be looking at the lows. Okay? Now, in a bearish divergence, we are looking for price to make higher highs. and the MACD to make lower highs.

Now, here’s an example of a bearish. divergence, where we are looking to buy puts when we get the actual signal. Here’s the price action chart. As you can see, price is clearly making. higher highs at the end of this option. We made this high. Then we made a. correction to these lows, and we made a higher high. If you draw a trend. line from this high to this high, you can see that we are making higher. highs here on the actual chart. If we go to the MACD, you can see that.

here, when price made this high, we made this high. When price made a. higher high, the MACD actually made a lower high, making this a bearish. But remember that not because you have a bearish divergence you will be. buying puts immediately. No. You need a trigger. The trigger for. divergences is . . . Well, the trigger for a bearish divergence is the. actual breakout of the lows, of the previous lows. Now, here we have the. previous low, which is also an area of resistance right here. When we break.

below, we even retest it as resistance. When momentum builds to the upside, we have a reversal and a continuation of the down-move. Now, how to trade. with the MACD. Let’s review how you trade with the MACD. Now, you know all. the signals. Okay? First of all, you always wait for the completion of the. signal for them to be valid. Remember that you need the previous highs or. previous low to be broken, either with a centerline crossover or with a. divergence. Okay?

You need support or resistance to be broken with a moving. average crossover because you need momentum, either to the upside or to the. downside. Of course, you will be looking always at the histogram for. momentum building to either side. Always use support and resistance levels, as well as previous highs and. lows, for triggers. This we already said. Divergences are very powerful. reversal signals, but they are better . . . they have a better winning.

ratio on higher timeframes. Now, this is something that you need to. remember. Even though we’ll have divergences on any timeframe, any signal. you will learn on this course will have a higher winning ratio on higher. timeframes. This is because the signals of the higher timeframes are less. usual. To put it another way, you will get less signals on the higher. timeframes, but they will be more accurate. Okay.

But it doesn’t matter if. you have a better winning ratio on a higher timeframe than on a lower. timeframe, if you don’t have enough patience to wait for the completion of. the signal and get the trigger. Your winning ratio will not be very good. Remember that the MACD, by itself, can be a very profitable method for. Comments are closed. Practice Trading at eToro Now! Among the best methods used to determine when and how to purchase binary options is with MACD Indicators. The term MACD simply stands for Moving Average Convergence and Divergence of a securities asset. MACD chart analyses differs from Bollinger band analysis because it does not contain upper, middle and lower bands instead it uses two bands that when plotted often crosses both above and below each other. It is becoming by far one of the most used indicators there is around today. How does it work? MACD is used to identify changes in the direction, strength, duration, and momentum of a current trend in an investment assets price. A MACD line is simply charted by using the difference between a twelve day and twenty six day exponential moving average (current data is given more relevance than past data) of closing prices. Then a charted line of a nine day simple moving average, often termed the “signal line”, is added to identify potential buy and sell instances. The information the resulting chart supplies is then analyzed on what is called a zero sub level. If an asset is near or below zero sub level then it is said to indicate a bearish market and calls for purchasing binary put options. If this same security asset is above zero sub level then a trader should look to place binary call options.

MACD is thought to be a powerful tool these days when it comes to making binary options market transactions. Many traders are even combining it with other method indicators to experience even greater returns on their investments. So once you learn how to use MACD and learn its strengths and weaknesses, you can become like many other traders and routinely make a return on investment on your binary option purchases.
